Bletchley Park Book Covers
Book cover design, typography
This project was to take a series of books and represent them in a way that clearly showed a visual link between them but also gave each book an individual identity.

I chose to work with a series of non-fiction novels by author Sinclair McKay, about the incredible intelligence work achieved at Bletchley Park manor house during the Second World War; without which is it highly likely the war would have ended very differently.
Because the subject matter itself has been shrouded in secrecy for decades, I felt it was very important to convey the idea of spying and clues, which lent itself perfectly to a clear and simple typographic approach. It was also a fantastic opportunity to experiment with different techniques, such as die cutting and UV printing.
